Fortnite has been the home of some major character additions over the past few Chapters of the popular Battle Royale game. But in what could possibly be the biggest crossover yet, it seems like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be coming to the game after sharing a cryptic video on Instagram.
So far this season, we’ve already got a few new crossovers, with Lara Croft and Neymar Jr. already landing in the game. And up next, it seems like the Rock will be making an appearance, and it isn’t just The Rock himself teasing this. Even checking out a cinematic released by Epic to tell the Zero Crisis Story from in-game lore, Jonesey recruits a new ally who is shrouded in mystery, and could EASILY be The Rock.
We also recently just got a brand new Season released earlier this week, and as it premiered The Rock also jumped in by posting a message to Instagram that said “In a certain world, in a certain culture, today was a big day.”
Another clue pointing to it is the fact that The Foundation’s skin in-game also happens to have tribal tattoo symbols on its armor that line up EXACTLY with the tattoos that The Rock has on his upper left shoulder. If you jump under the hood of The Foundation skin’s files, the voice lines for the game are found in a folder called “DJ’, just like Dwayne Johnson. While yes, it could be anybody, this is a MONUMENTAL moment when you can finally play The Rock in a video game that doesn’t start with WWE. Will you be playing as The Rock if he comes to Fortnite?
