US Flying Numbers Are The Highest Since The Pandemic Began
As the number of vaccinations increases and the number of hospital cases decreases, Americans want to start traveling again. According to The Transportation Security Administration the number of flyers this past weekend (March12-14th) were the highest since the start of the pandemic. Ironically it is also exactly one year from the week that shutdowns started.
According to AssociatedPress.com, the CEO of American Airlines Dough Parker said, “our last three weeks have been the best since the pandemic hit.” They certainly hope to keep this tend going as people begin booking flights for the spring and summer. Even with the increase the number of flight passengers is still only about 50% of what it was in March 2019.
