The Largest Asteroid To Pass Earth In 2021
Astronomers have just announced that we can expect to see the biggest asteroid to pass Earth in 2021 very soon. According to Kare11.com, the asteroid has been tracked by scientists for over 20 years at this point. They are confident it doesn’t have any potential of collision with Earth nor will any other asteroid for at least a few centuries.
The space rock has been named 2001 FO32 and is about 2,230 feet in diameter. On March 21st it will come the closest to Earth. According to DailyMail.uk, it will only be visible if you use a large telescope in the southern hemisphere and low latitude northern regions. The asteroid will be moving 77,000 miles per hour faster than they typically do while coming in contact with Earth.
