Zoom Calls Lead To More Men Wearing Makeup

This time last year many of us had never heard of Zoom or knew what it meant to be on a Zoom call. Now, Zoom calls have become a part of our daily life. Many of us use Zoom for work, appointments, meetings, and even for date or virtual happy hour.

When using Zoom you really do get a chance to look at yourself more than you normally would on a daily basis. Because of that, many men are becoming increasingly more aware of their appearance while on calls. According to NewYorkPost.com, sales for cosmetics for men are now on the rise. In fact, the Google search for "Make-Up For Men" has increased by 80% since 2019.

Products like moisturizer and concealer seem to be the most popular for men. Brands like Tribe are thriving. They offer a full line of male products including: Skin Fix, Moisturizer, and even Beard Fix which works to fill in gaps in facial hair and even eyebrows.

The drugstore CVS also added a men's makeup section in select locations with the phrase, "Nothing Wrong With Handsome" which was included in 2,000 of their retail locations.
