A man in West Ridge has found a new way to call "dibs" on his parking spot. Adam Selzer's photos of frozen denim guarding his parking place have become very popular on Twitter. Selzer says he learned the trick during the last polar vortex in 2019. He found that if you soak your pants in water they can be made to stand up on their own while in the process of freezing.
According to blockclubchicago.org, Selzer originally just thought the pants made for a great photo until Twitter users suggested they could be used to hold his parking spot. From there, he successfully tried it out. Seltzer who is an author, historian and leader of Mysterious Chicago Tours was quoted saying, "pants are always funny, I'm glad people are enjoying it."
He also promised, "no pants were harmed in this effort."
