Americans Predicted To Eat Over 1 Billion Wings Super Bowl Sunday
With the COVID-19 pandemic still underway, this year’s Super Bowl will be all about the food! According to FoxNews.com, The National Chicken Council has given their annual wing report. They say that year’s big game will be an “important food holiday” since less people will be traveling and everyone will be looking for great comfort food.
Current wing sales from supermarkets over the last 365 days are up 10.3% from last year. They believe part of this raise in sales has to do with the air fryer craze that is also happening. Given the trends the group predicts Americas will eat a total of 1.42 billion wings on Super Bowl Sunday.
The 1.42 billion chicken wings Americans will eat for #SuperBowl would stretch from Arrowhead Stadium, home of the @Chiefs, to Raymond James Stadium, home of the @Buccaneers & the Super Bowl, MORE THAN 19 TIMES https://t.co/LOh2T6sFxK pic.twitter.com/IcZgGq97gl
