25% Still Planning Super Bowl Parties Despite Pandemic
After making it through the 2020 holidays we have reached the next big event that is sure to lead to large gatherings, the Super Bowl.
A Seton Hall Sports Poll gathered data from just over 1,500 adults asking them if they would be leaving their homes for the big game. The data was collected from January 22 through January 25th. 64% said they would not be leaving their homes either out of disinterest in the game or to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, 25% said they would certainly still be attending a Super Bowl party. When you look at those who consider themselves avid fans 40% said they would be attending the game someplace other than their household.
According to USAtoday.com, the poll also asked if the game between The Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be less exciting because of COVID restrictions. 47% said they “strongly or somewhat” agreed while 28% said they either “strongly or somewhat” disagreed.
