According to FoxNews.com, data compiled by NiceRx.com found that Hawaii has the highest concentration of fast food restaurants in relation to their population. As of 2019, there are 97.5 fast food restaurants per 100,000 people. The population of Hawaii is estimated to be about 1.4 million people which means there are 1,365 fast food restaurants in Hawaii.
Coming in second is New York with 92.3 fast food restaurants per 100,00 people. Hawaii also has 3 times as many fast food restaurants as Alaska which is the largest US state by size.
