In case you didn’t win anything from the Powerball jackpot Wednesday night, you still have a chance at close to $1 Billion with Mega Millions.

The Powerball jackpot was won last night by a resident in Maryland. The jackpot was $730 Million, the fourth largest jackpot in history. Furthermore, this is the first time in history both the Powerball and Mega Millions were valued over $700 Million at the same time.

The next drawing for the Mega Millions is Friday, January 22, 2021. With $970 Million on the line, if a sole winner hits, they can choose annual payments or a lump-sum option of around $716.3 Million.

If the Mega Millions jackpot is won this Friday, it will be the United States’ third largest lottery jackpot ever. The current record for the Mega Millions is $1.537 Billion from October 2018 according to CNN.
