Since the launch of the Twitter app, we’ve all asked for one simple thing: a way to edit tweets. And Twitter had rolled a brand new function today — but sadly, it still isn’t that.
The platform has rolled out “fleets.” Basically, it’s a fancy way to describe the “story” function we have on almost every other app right now. With fleets, you can post text or video, and it disappears 24 hours later.
Twitter announced the news, saying, “That thing you didn’t Tweet but wanted to but didn’t but got so close but then were like nah. We have a place for that now—Fleets! Rolling out to everyone starting today.”

Of course, people are not impressed. Really, really not impressed. Which isn’t surprising since the same thing can be done on Instagram, Snapchat, Linkedin, and Facebook.
Although people are upset, their rants about fleets are entertaining. See some reactions below.

Hi, @Twitter.

An even better feature than Fleets would be a way to hide Fleets.
Twitter just started some new feature called "Fleets".

Do they realize they named it after an enema?
