Coffee Advertising Leads To Lawsuit
Coffee is an essential part to millions of people’s day all over the world. To one woman in Fort Lauderdale, the amount of coffee she has each day is taken very seriously. She has recently filed a lawsuit in federal court claiming that Maxwell House and Yuban ground coffee have lied about the amount of 6-ounce cups you can expect from their blends.
According to SunSentinel.com, the Fort Lauderdale resident exclaimed that there is no way Maxwell House could possibly yield the 180 to 210 servings they promise. In fact, she believes it’s impossible to even get the minimum 180 cups and has been “deprived of the benefit of the bargain she reasonably anticipated”.
The suit seeks more than $30,000 in damages and is one of many across the country claiming false advertising from a coffee manufacturer exaggerating the yield from their product.
