According to bestlifeonline.com, a new study found that couples who sleep together are more likely to move around during the night but, are also more likely to get a higher quality of sleep. When sleeping with a partner, it was found that there is a 10% increase in time spent in REM sleep compared to sleeping by yourself. Partners may also synchronize their sleep cycles which can also lead to a deeper connection in the relationship as a whole.
This applies to cuddling with your pets as well! Some of us let our dogs and cats up on the bed, and if you do this, according to the research, it makes for better sleep. Do you agree?
The study concludes that while the body may be more restless while sleeping with someone else, the brain is not. Sleeping with someone else gives boosts in mental health, memory, and also problem solving skills.
