Diabetes Drug Recalled Due To Cancer-Causing Agent
A popular diabetes drug is being recalled due to a cancer-causing contaminant.
Marksans Pharma Limited is recalling metformin hydrochloride, which is used to treat Type 2 diabetes, due to the presence of a ‘probable human carcinogen’.
The recall applies to 500mg and 750mg tablets sold under the name Time-Cap Labs, Inc. The tablets are embossed with 101 or 102 on the side.
