YMCA of Delaware Provides Learning Support Centers
Many schools in Delaware are starting the year off virtually. It can be really stressful for parents, especially working parents. The YMCA created a program to alleviate some of that stress. Delaware Public Media reported that Learning Support Centers are available throughout the state for kids ages 5-12. Full day care is provided Monday through Friday from 7 am-6 pm. The YMCA has COVID-19 safety protocols in place, as they have been providing child care to essential workers for five months and summer camp for three months. The Learning Support Centers will provide a full day of activities and they even help with virtual homework and learning. The cost is $250, but financial assistance is available. Parents can register their kids and take a look at the safety online here.
