Rehoboth Beach Extends ‘Meterless Monday’ Through Mid September
If you haven’t been to the beach this summer, here’s a good reason to get down there- Free Parking! DE Public Media reports that The Rehoboth Beach Board of commissioners voted to extend ‘Meterless Mondays’ through mid-September. ‘Meterless Monday’ offers people free parking on Monday’s from 4-10 pm. The program started as a way to attract people to downtown Rehoboth, as local businesses suffered from the coronavirus pandemic. The program was scheduled to run until the end of August, but it was so successful, it will now run through September 14th. However, according to Delaware Public Media, businesses are still seeing a major decline in sales from last year.
