Apps That May Help Parents With Remote Learning
As we enter back to school season, it does look a little different this year. Several school districts are starting their school year remotely, while some are adopting the hybrid model, which is a mix of in-person and virtual learning. We understand that this is a very stressful time for parents. It’s really difficult to manage work, house work, and making sure that kids stay on top of their school work. It’s also no secret that parents may not have been in the classroom for a long time and that can make it challenging to help kids with school work.
There’s an app that might make things easier for you! It’s called ‘Mathway’. It’s a free app that helps with basic math, calculus, algebra and more. All you have to do is enter the problem into the app’s calculator or take a photo of the problem. You can also speak the problem into your smart phone! ‘Mathway’ will show the answer and even display the steps involved. Keep in mind, the free version has ads and does not display the answer for every question. A premium subscription will cost you $9.99 a month or $39.99 for a year, but it will display steps for every question and you won’t be forced to watch ads. If you want to use the service on your desktop, you can go to their website.
There’s also ‘Photo Math‘ It’s a similar app created by a father to help his kids with their math homework. You simply take a photo of the question and the app teaches the student how to solve the questions through step-by-step instructions.
