Stolen Build-A-Bear With Special Meaning Gets Returned
The search for a teddy bear in Vancouver received international attention. Mara Soriano’s Build-A-Bear was stolen from her while she was moving. The bear had special meaning because it contained a voice recording from Mara’s mother who passed away in 2019. CBC News reported on the story and the hunt was on. Even Ryan Reynolds tweeted about it offering a $5000 reward to anyone who found the teddy bear. A surveillance video of the thief with a bag helped out. Two men apparently took the bear from the man who stole it. The heroes returned the stuffed animal to CBC Studios and reunited Mara with her special bear. I wonder if the two men who rescued the bear are getting that $5,000 reward from Ryan Reynolds!

Vancouver: $5,000 to anyone who returns this bear to Mara. Zero questions asked. I think we all need this bear to come home. https://t.co/L4teoxoY50

We went into the newsroom and Dan shot this video. 2 men brought the bear to the CBC lobby. Mara and I were there. The happy ending we all needed. https://t.co/ObV9uk3NVG
