The Grand will lay off nearly 60% of their full time staff as the coronavirus pandemic takes a crippling toll on the live entertainment industry. Executive Director, Mark Fields told Delaware Online that the theater will eliminate 19 out of 33 paid full-time staff positions across all departments. The remaining 14 full-timers will be taking pay cuts. Back in the spring, The Grand laid off 15 part-time staffers as the pandemic started. The Grand is widely regarded as one of Delaware’s finest rooms for live entertainment. Last month, The Grand introduced the outdoor Concert By Car Series at Frawley Stadium. Just before they announced the layoffs, they added a new show to the series. The Fuzaholics will headline a show on Friday July 31st at 7 pm.
