Live Worm Removed from Woman’s Tonsil
A 25-year old woman in Japan visited a doctor after experiencing throat pain for about 5 days after eating assorted sashimi, according a report from The Guardian.
Medics identified a black worm, approximately 38 millimeters (1.5 inches) long and still moving, inside the woman’s left tonsil, and removed the creature using tweezers.
Studies found it to be a parasitic round worm.
