Delaware Pizza Shop Owner Fights Off Robber By Throwing A Pizza At Him

The owner of a Greenwood, Delaware restaurant fought off a would-be robber by throwing a pizza at him. I’ve been here for five years and I have never heard of Greenwood, Delaware. I looked it up and it’s a small town in Sussex County off Route 13. Greenwood is South of Harrington and North of Bridgeville. According to the police, the owner of Stargate Pizza was closing up on Friday (July 10th) around 10:30 p.m. when a man wielding a machete came in and asked for money. Police say the owner claimed he had no cash before throwing a pizza at him, causing him to flee. No one was injured by the machete or the flying pizza.
