18 Year Old ‘Hero’ Dies After Saving Two Women In The Ocean At The Jersey Shore Over The Weekend
Just about 24 hours a search began, the body of Jalan Alston was found on the Atlantic City Beach on Saturday. 18 year old, Jalan Alston gave his life on Friday night to save two women in the ocean off Ventnor, New Jersey. The Coast Guard and Ventnor police said the women were caught in rough waters brought on by Tropical Storm Fay. Alston pushed the women toward land, putting himself in harm’s way, ultimately sacrificing his own life. Alston’s brother told NBC10 before anyone knew he passed “Let it be known my brother was a hero.” Our heartfelt condolences go out to Jalan’s friends and family. What an unimaginable loss.
Last evening my kid brother was lost at sea on the northeast coast . I’m praying we find him and I’m posting this picture so that those near water can be on a lookout for him, his name is Jalan Alston, all I want is for him to be found. @USCGNortheast pic.twitter.com/9mXfNeBDlA

Jalan’s brother set up a gofundme to help with funeral costs.
A donation fund has been set up for my brother, if people could share it around I’d appreciate it. Thank you. https://t.co/S08SrC4GKX
