Law Enforcement Statue Vandalized in Dover
Authorities say the suspect took an ax to the Delaware Law Enforcement Memorial on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Dover on Friday at approximately 5:35am.
A witness called in the vandalism after seeing the suspect hit the memorial with they thought was a sledgehammer. By the time police arrived on the scene, the suspect had fled.
The damage was caused to the neck of the kneeling officer statue and two State of Delaware flags were on the ground near the statue soaked in urine. An ax was found nearby.
