Phase 2 of Delaware’s Reopening Plan Becomes Effective June 15th
Governor Carney announced more details on plans for Phase 2 reopening of the state yesterday. Phase 2 becomes effective at 8 am on Monday June 15th. Retail and restaurants may expand their occupancy from 30% to 60%. Gyms and personal care facilities will continue to run at 30% occupancy because of shared equipment. Child care facilities will reopen for all Delaware families. However, there will be restrictions on group sizes, additional social distancing, and cleaning protocols. The Delaware Division of Public Health encourages Delawareans to continue to work from home and keep their children home if they can.
