Flint, Michigan Police Officers Walk With Protesters In Honor Of George Floyd
As we see demonstrations across the country and even overseas in honor of George Floyd, a black man who was murdered by unnecessary force and police brutality, some police forces have taken the morally righteous steps to join in peaceful protest and solidarity. Black communities throughout the world once again in history righteously protest and voice their concerns against police brutality, and a call for deep systematic change in The United States.
While military police are positioned across the country, Flint, Michigan police officers display a humble demonstration of support for solidarity and justice. The officers join black men and women in protest, stating “we’ve removed our helmets, let’s turn this into a parade” and “you tell us what we need to do.” The peoples’ response, “Walk with us!”
