Bob Kulick, best known for his session and touring guitar work with a variety of artists including KISS, Lou Reed and Meat Loaf, has died. He was 70.
Bruce Kulick, Bob’s younger brother and former KISS guitarist, confirmed the news in the Facebook post below where he wrote, “I am heartbroken to have to share the news of the passing of my brother Bob Kulick. His love of music, and his talent as a musician and producer should always be celebrated. I know he is at peace now, with my parents, playing his guitar as loud as possible. Please respect the Kulick Family’s privacy during this very sad time.”
Bob Kulick’s many credits include playing on a number of KISS albums including 1977’s Alive II, 1978’s Paul Stanley, 1980’s Unmasked and 1982’s Killers. He notably played on Lou Reed’s 1975 studio album Coney Island Baby and on a number of Meat Loaf live and studio titles, including 1984’s Bad Attitude.
Other artists Bob Kulick worked with throughout his decades-long career include Diana Ross, Michael Bolton, W.A.S.P., Motorhead, Alice Cooper and more.
