Nicole Ari Parker Wishes Husband Boris Kodjoe Was Her Boyfriend Again
Actress and actor Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe recently were guests on comedian Chris Spencer and his wife Vanessa Spencer’s Instagram Live show “Date Night.”
The Hollywood couple talked about their relationship during the segment and Nicole Ari Parker talked about how she wished that Boris Kodjoe was her boyfriend again.
The couple have been married for almost 15 years. Next month will mark a decade and a half for the Soul-Food co-stars.

“Some time within the last year or so I thought I wished that he was my boyfriend again,” Parker explained. “I don’t necessarily want to be single but I miss the single life. I miss the text messages for no reason. I miss the coming up from behind me when I’m scrambling eggs and just kissing me on the back of the neck.”
“I’m being general here but there’s the trappings of being single,” Parker continued. “There’s people who flirt with you and a part of the flirtation and what makes you look at your phone or if you’re in the workplace is the freshness.”

“If you’re in it for the long haul that freshness and newness is still possible if you talk about it,” Parker continued.”Like, look, I know we talk about date night but we need to have a date night. I know we talked about texting, but the last time you texted me was over the cabinet guy.”
In May of 2005, Parker and Kodjoe tied the knot in Germany. The actress and actor share two children together, a boy and a girl. The two both starred in Showtime’s former sitcom Soul Food , which was a spin-off of the 1997 film of the same name.
