Our local Make-A-Wish chapter, Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware, Susquehanna Valley is facing a record number of wishes waiting to be granted. All recent wishes involving travel have been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Wishes give kids who are facing critical illnesses strength, hope, and the chance to be a kid. It can play a crucial role in their recovery. The organization created a new campaign called “Messages of Hope.” It’s a fun and easy way for you to help critically ill children who are waiting for their wishes to be granted without leaving the house! Simply write, record, or photograph yourself delivering a message of encouragement for the kids who are waiting for their one true wish to be granted. Post your message to social media and tag @makeawishphl and use the #wishesarewaiting. Our local chapter will create a video series to highlight local wish kids.
