Contestants On Germany’s “Big Brother” Told About Coronavirus On Live TV
The premise of Big Brother is to lock you away with strangers for weeks and observe behavior without knowing what’s going on in the world.
The German version of the show is taking place right now and the housemates had no idea about the coronavirus pandemic until last night.
The public outcry grew saying that the contestants needed to know what was going on in the real world.
The show’s host and a doctor broke the news about COVID-19 to the virus on live TV.
While there was a mix of silence and tears from the contestants, producers did give them reassuring messages from family and friends on the outside.
The HGs of Big Brother Germany are currently being informed about the coronavirus. So far they've seen a news special & they're asking questions now. IMO the host & a doctor are downplaying the situation (maybe to avoid self evictions). HGs are calm, but a bit confused... #bbcan8 pic.twitter.com/yS5r885TA3
