For the first time in 44 years, the parade will not be held.

The 45th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Wilmington has been cancelled due to Coronavirus. The parade was scheduled for this Saturday (3/14/20) at 11 am. It will be the first time in 44 years that the parade has not been held.  The post-parade hooley has also been called off. The Wilmington cancellations came a day after New York cancelled its parade for the first time in more than 250 years. Philadelphia’s St. Patrick’s day parade scheduled for Sunday was also cancelled.
