Dating App is Offering $100 Per Scheduled Date This Weekend for National Unplugging Day
The popular dating app, Hinge is running a promotion for National Unplugging Day, the day to unplug your devices and enjoy reality like the old days for a change. As an incentive, Hinge is offering 250 users a chance to win $100 if you schedule a date in real life and meet up face to face off the app. The user must pause their dating app for the weekend and get a date without using the app. This all begins Friday (3/6/2020) at 4 p.m. and lasts till Saturday.
Hinge has created a sub microsite, unplugwithhinge.com for the promotion so they can keep track of who’s actually going on the dates. Users will have to prove they met by filling out a “We Met” survey that confirms each other’s names and email addresses of each Hinge user.
This promotion was inspired by their motto “Designed to be Deleted” as the dating app firmly believes the app should be deleted after having that first date, because there would be no need to keep it installed if it’s working.
