The risk to residents is still low…
According to city officials, Philadelphia is investigating a possible case of Coronavirus. There are currently no confirmed cases of the virus in Philadelphia. Testing is currently being done and the risk to residents is still low. Two possible cases in Philly have been tested in recent weeks but came back negative. Just a reminder that Delaware also has ZERO confirmed cases of Coronavirus. The virus has sickened more than 90,000 and claimed more than 3,000 lives throughout the world. There have been confirmed cases in China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan. There are more than 100 confirmed cases in the United States and nine Americans have died from the virus. Coronaviruses are among a group of viruses that can cause sickness ranging from the common cold to pneumonia, and even severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS. Delaware health officials still say that the flu is still a greater threat to residents than the Coronavirus.
