Awkward: Lady Gaga Is Dating This Woman’s Ex And She Wrote About It
Imagine watching the Super Bowl only to see your ex-boyfriend booed up with Lady Gaga? For Lindsay Crouse, that happened. The New York Times editor wrote an opinion piece about it too. She explains that she discovered the news while watching the Super Bowl. “While I’d been watching the Super Bowl on television in New York, they were snuggling in her private box at the Hard Rock Stadium at Miami Gardens. There were the paparazzi as he escorted her away, her pink hair flowing and sequins pasted around her eyes.”
Crouse reveals that she dated Michale Polansky for seven years, during and after college. As she says, she was “caught in a bad romance.” She also adds when seeing pictures and information about the pair, “Instead of thinking, ‘Why not me?’ when I see them together, I think, ‘That was me.’ It pulls the illusion of celebrity down.”
She then goes on to explain how she processed the news and spoke of how she started comparing herself to the singer – because who wouldn’t? “I was going to wear a black dress I’d gotten on sale years ago to an event that weekend, for probably the 27th time. But Lady Gaga would never do something like that. I’ve never owned anything that costs more than a week’s worth of groceries — whereas she is a woman who wears pieces of raw meat on the red carpet.” In the end, Lindsay praised the singer, “Lady Gaga is amazing.” She also revealed that she is happily engaged.
