VIDEO: Elton John Cancels Performance Mid-Show Due to Wild Rain Storm
Elton John tried to power through a recent performance in Victoria, Australia, but the rain had other plans.
Per Australia’s 10 Daily, Sir Elton was about 95 minutes into his set when heavy rainfall drenched the show. He played about ten minutes with the rain, but the storm was just too strong and he had to end the show. The venue informed fans to hold onto their tickets for now as the show may get rescheduled. Video of the intense rain can be viewed below.

John has a high-profile show this weekend, fortunately indoors, at the 92nd Oscars ceremony taking place Sunday night (February 2) where he’ll perform “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again,” the song he and Bernie Taupin wrote for Rocketman, which is nominated for Best Original Song.
If “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” wins, this will be John’s second Oscar. His first Oscar win was also in the Best Original Song category for “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from The Lion King.
The 92nd Oscars airs live on Sunday, February 9 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on ABC.
