Penn State Fraternity Suspended After Assault Allegations
The Phi Sigma Delta Sigma chapter of Alpha Episolon Pi at Penn State was suspended Wednesday after allegations of a sexual assault involving four members of the fraternity were filed.
The unknown accuser made claims to someone that she was assaulted at the fraternity house on January 15th. The person she confided in filed the claim with Penn State College Police.
The chapter is on an interim suspension as police and school officials conduct an investigation.
In a statement made to The New York Daily News, the university commented:
“Penn State is committed to the safety and well-being of all students in our community and takes allegations of sexual misconduct seriously.”
No arrests had been made as of Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to call (814) 234-7150.
