What We Learned Today! 11/11
Everyday we like to reflect on what we learned during the Morning Show. Join us for more wisdom weekdays from 5:30-10 !
- It’s Veteran’s day today. We want to say thank you to the men and women who served our nation. We appreciate your service every day.
- Chili’s is offering customers a chance to win a baby back rib scented candle, just in time for the holidays. This comes just days after Jimmy Dean offered sausage-scented wrapping paper.
- Hallmark Channel just had its first ‘Christmas Con’ in New Jersey. Convention go-ers had the chance to participate in an ugly sweater contest and meet Hallmark stars like Melissa Joan Hart, Jackee Harry, and Lacey Chabert.
- A Vietnam Veteran named Albert Brigas was planning on retiring from his job as a mechanic next year after he paid off his mortgage. His boss, Rudy Quinonas paid off the last of his mortgage and Albert was able to retire early in the house that he and his wife have been living in for over 24 years.
- A Waffle House employee named Ben was the only employee working one night when a rush of customers came in. Instead of complaining about slow service, one man in a blue shirt requested an apron and started helping Ben clean tables. A woman an evening wear and heels also pitched in to help.
