Popeyes’ famous chicken sandwiches are tasty, but how they are made might be questionable. TMZ has obtained photos of an employee at a Fairfax, Virginia store making sandwiches on top of a tray that is resting on a trash can. This is being done right in the line of sight of customers.
TMZ reached out to the owner, and he says, “on this particular day, the restaurant was overwhelmed after only having been open a few days, and then getting slammed with a 100 chicken sandwich order.” He also adds that the employee was new, and the trash bin was empty.
The owner has since ordered another table for employees to make the sandwich on.
