AUDIO: John Legend And Kelly Clarkson Remake ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’
John Legend teased in his recent Vanity Fair interview that he and Kelly Clarkson would remake “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” and now the song is out.
As promised, this version is reimagined with the controversial sexist lyrics taken out. The original “Baby It’s Cold Outside Version” got a lot of heat in the wake of the #MeToo movement.
Lyrics for this new version are definitely PC and safe. These opening lyrics are:
“I really can’t stay (Baby it’s cold outside)
I’ve gotta go away (I can call you a ride)
This evening has been (so glad that you dropped in)
So very nice (time spent with you is paradise)
My mother will start to worry (I’ll call a car and tell ’em to hurry)
My daddy will be pacing the floor (Wait, what are you still livin’ home for?)”

John’s A Legendary Christmas: Deluxe Edition is currently out.
