A$AP Rocky Slated To Return To Sweden Months After Being Jailed There
Rapper A$AP Rocky is slated to return to Sweden, just months after he was jailed there and convicted of assault.
Rocky is scheduled to return to Sweden on December 11 to play the Ericsson Globe alongside Swedish artists that are yet to be announced, as TMZ reports.
“After tremendous support from the Swedish fans, he returns to Stockholm for a long-awaited gig for all his supporters,” Live Nation wrote in a statement that was released on Friday (Nov. 8).
Tickets go on sale on November 12. In August, A$AP Rocky was found guilty of assault by a panel of Swedish judges. The conviction was based on whether the Harlem rapper threw a bottle at a male during a street brawl that transpired after the male antagonized Rocky and his associates.
Rocky and his codefendants spent a month in jail while awaiting trial, which resulted in the rapper having a suspended sentence. He was required to pay various fines.
A Swedish prosecutor who worked on Rocky’s case said that he has no restrictions that are related to his assault conviction.
“He can return to Sweden for his gig and won’t be arrested unless he commits another crime,” the prosecutor said.
