What We Learned Today! 10/31
Everyday we like to reflect on what we learned during the Morning Show. Join us for more wisdom weekdays from 5:30-10 !
- A woman dressed up as Carrie for Halloween totaled her car. She gave emergency crews quite a scare. Her costume was so convincing that they all thought she was dead when they arrived to help her.
- Jet Blue is celebrating Halloween with one way $31 dollar domestic flights. The catch is, you have to book and fly today. Chipotle will hook you up with a $4 boo-rito, bowl, or taco if you show up in costume today.
- Those deals will come in handy because Americans are spending $8.8 billion dollars on Halloween this year. That includes candy, costumes, and decorations. Half a billion dollars are going to costumes for our beloved pets.
- The top Halloween candies this year are M&M’s, Reese’s, KitKats, Snickers, Candy Corn, and Skittles. Kids, if your candy disappears, blame mom and dad because 2/3 of adults steal their kids Halloween candy.
- The Safe Kids Delaware Coalition has some tips to keep the kids safe while trick-or-treating:
- bring a flashlight
- add reflective tape to the dark colored costumes
- Choose makeup instead of a mask.
- discard any candy or treats that are unsealed, have holes in the packages, or any homemade treats from someone you don’t know
- drivers: slow down.
