What We Learned Today! 10/11
Everyday we like to reflect on what we learned during the Morning Show. Join us for more wisdom weekdays from 5:30-10 !
- If it feels like you’re in the car longer than you used to be, it’s because you are! The average commute is 27 minutes, which is up by 2 minutes from ten years ago. That’s twenty minutes per week and 17 hours per year.
- If you want to live longer, get a dog! Two separate studies indicated that you are 24% less likely to die prematurely from any cause if you have a dog.
- Parents worry about what their kids post on social media, but it works both ways. 40% of teens say they have a problem with what their parents post about them!
- Roadwork on Route 1 will begin on or around Monday to reconfigure the Biddle’s Corner Toll Plazas to allow a smoother flow of traffic through E-Z pass lanes. Deldot will work during the nighttime hours for 3-4 nights to prevent major delays.
- DeAngelo Williams lost his mom to breast cancer and was inspired to start the DeAngelo Williams Foundation in her honor. Over the last four years, the foundation provided over 500 mammograms to women who would otherwise not be able to afford one.
