Jane Fonda Arrested While Protesting Climate Crisis
Jane Fonda has been arrested in Washington and a Climate Control protest. Per CNN, “The United States Capitol Police arrested 16 individuals for unlawfully demonstrating on the East Front of the U.S. Capitol.”
This happened at the launch of the actress’ “Fire Drills Friday” campaign, which is raising awareness of environmental challenges. Fonda and the others arrested were charged with “crowding, obstructing, or incommoding.”
The Fire Drills Friday Twitter account posted an image of the arrest shortly after it happened. “@Janefonda is getting arrested because of the #ClimateEmergency. What are you doing to combat the crisis? #FireDrillFriday,” the caption reads.
