$8B Awarded by Philadelphia Jury in Lawsuit Against Johnson & Johnson
Johnson & Johnson have been ordered to pay the man for failing to warn him of the side-effects of one of their drugs after he grew breasts.
A Philadelphia jury awarded the 26 year-old man an $8 billion dollar pay out after he said the drug Risperdal caused him to develop gynecomastia — enlarged male breasts. Thousands of others are suing the company for the same.
He was taking the drug to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, after an autism diagnosis in 2003.
