More Blood Pressure Medicine Being Recalled Over Cancer Risk
A recall on the blood pressure medication Losartan is being expanded over a possible cancer risk.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals, makers of Losartan, is expanding its recall of Potassium Tablets and Potassium/Hydrochlorothiazide tablets due to an impurity that could lead to cancer with long-term exposure.
However, don’t throw your tablets away just yet – doctors say stopping your medication without a replacement could be a greater risk to your health. Consult your physician instead.
