Brown went to Twitter this morning to let us know that he’s had enough and won’t return to the NFL.
Will not be playing in the @NFL anymore these owners can cancel deals do whatever they want at anytime we will see if the @NFLPA hold them accountable sad they can just void guarantees anytime going on 40m 2 months will see if they pay up !— AB (@AB84) September 22, 2019
He went on to comment on Robert Kraft, Patriots owner, who he previously had nice things to say about.

This is not the first time he has spoken of retirement. When the helmet drama went down, he threatened leaving the game. Seems like he might be trying to save face due to the lack of interest from other NFL teams. The saga is sure to continue.
