The popular ESPN sports show is making it’s way to Wilmington this Friday, September 20th, as part of Historically Black Colleges and Universities Week.

First Take, with Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman and host Molly Qerim Rose, will broadcast live from the 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington.

First Take airs from 10am until noon on ESPN.  This week’s guests will include Magic Johnson and performances by the Delaware State Drumline and a step show.   There will also be a DJ on hand and prize giveaways.

Doors open at 7am and the event is free and open to the public.

In a statement made in June, Smith said “I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for the education and experience I had at an HBCU,” Smith is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University and was named the HBCU Week Ambassador by the city of Wilmington. “I can’t wait to take First Take on the road to Wilmington and meet all the potential students at the College Fair.”
