A$AP Rocky’s Guilty Verdict: Social Media Reacts
As previously reported, today news broke that rapper A$AP Rocky was found guilty in his Sweden assault case.
The Harlem rapper was on trial for his participation in a street fight that took place on June 30 in Stockholm.
However, A$AP Rocky won’t serve any more jail time, as he already served over a month in jail in a Swedish detention center.
The rapper’s sentence is conditional, which means that he will be subject to a probationary period of two years, as CNN reports.
The alleged victim in the case, Mustafa Jafari, was awarded damages “for violation of his integrity and pain and suffering,” by the court.
Rocky, along with two of his bodyguards who were also involved in the case, was ordered to repay legal expenses to the state in a total of $ 1,307, according to USA Today.
The high-profile case captured the attention of the hip-hop community and beyond, with even President Trump weighing in on twitter.
Take a look at some of the responses below.
Do yall remember that time when Trump thought the biggest and most important issue plaguing the "African American community" was #ASAPRocky? pic.twitter.com/njkAEIN3ok

I'm not saying the US right has gone nuts, but the Daily Caller is RT tweets calling for the US to go to war with Sweden to protect #ASAPRocky if Sweden tries to extradite him. Which would be a pretty interesting move, since he only got a suspended sentence. pic.twitter.com/chqJAjcIxi
