Outside Lands Becomes First U.S. Festival to Sell Legal Marijuana On-Site
Outside Lands will be taking place August 9-11 in San Francisco, and in addition to its diverse lineup, it’ll also feature a first for a music festival in the United States: Legal marijuana sold on-site.
The festival offers up all of the details in the Cannabis section of their website, where they state they will have “…an extensive selection of Cannabis products for purchase! Everything from Pre Rolls, Flower, Infused Edibles, Cartridges, and more!”
The various Cannabis products will be sold within the “Grass Lands” section of the festival. (Clever name, BTW.) There will also be designated “Consumption Areas” where festival-goers can smoke/vape, while edibles and beverages can be consumed anywhere within the “Grass Lands” section.
Festival-goers will also have a daily purchase limit of “seven grams of non-concentrated cannabis and two grams of concentrated cannabis.”
The State of California voted to legalize recreational use of marijuana in 2016.
