What We Learned Today! 8/7
Everyday we like to reflect on what we learned during the Morning Show. Join us for more wisdom tomorrow morning from 5:30-10!
- Lightening struck a septic tank in Port Charlotte, Florida. The methane caused the pipes to ignite and somebody’s toilet shattered into hundreds of porcelain pieces. The homeowner’s were in bed at the time of the explosion and it looks like they’re getting their bathroom remodeled.
- Research shows that women care for the environment more and are more likely to take steps to ‘go green’ than men. Apparently recycling and going green isn’t macho enough for some men.
- 22% of people said they would give up part of their salary for unlimited vacation days. However, employees who are offered unlimited vacation days as a benefit, only use 13 per year.
- Facebook took down the ‘Storm Area 51’ event and told the creator that the page did not fit in with the community guidelines of Facebook. The event is back up on Facebook and apparently something big is going to happen on September 20th
- Couples who share food together on a first date are more likely to see each other again. Just as long as you don’t order spaghetti and you only eat garlic if your date does.
