Katy Perry Teases Lyrics To New Song ‘Small Talk’
Katy Perry is getting ready to release a new single, and she’s giving a sneak peek on what it’s about.
The singer and American Idol judge went to Instagram this morning to share what appears to be song lyrics from her next single. The lyrics are handwritten on “From the Desk of Katy Perry” sticky notes. Each one with a #SmallTalk hashtag.
The first note says, “Isn’t it weird / That you’ve seen me naked / We had conversations about forever / Now it’s about the weather okay.”
The second follows with, “Isn’t it wild / That I know your weakness / And everybody at the party thinks / That you’re the best since sliced bread.”
“I just can’t believe / We went from strangers to lovers to / Strangers in a lifetime,” says the third note.
The final note reads, “Acting like we never met / Faking like we’d just forget / We were lovers.”
After post-it-note posts, Perry posted a picture with the caption, “and now there’s nothing left but #SmallTalk,” which appears to wrap up the lyrics.
There is no official release date for “Small Talk,” but the pre-save link on her post hints at August 9.
