Is AC/DC Planning Something for the 40th Anniversary of ‘Highway to Hell’?
AC/DC has been the subject of rumor activity in the rock world lately, and now there’s activity in their long-dormant social media channels.
The band’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts all changed their profile pictures to a new graphic featuring the artwork of Highway to Hell and shared the animated clip below with the caption, “Celebrate with us all month long! #H2H40.”
The last activity on AC/DC’s Twitter and Instagram came on March 19, 2017 when the accounts paid tribute to Chuck Berry who had passed away, while the last activity on AC/DC’s Facebook came on November 18, 2017 to confirm the passing of rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young.

AC/DC’s Highway to Hell, their final album featuring Bon Scott, turns 40 on July 27. At this point, only time will tell whether or not the band has something in store in honor of the album’s 40th anniversary.
This activity, however, isn’t even the juiciest news to come from the AC/DC camp. Last week, reports surfaced that the band would announce a 2019-2020 world tour this week. Once again, only time will tell whether those reports are true, but without doing very much, AC/DC has managed to become one of the hottest topics in the rock world. Hopefully, they’ll really give us something to talk about soon.
